Former India team fast bowler Zaheer Khan celebrated his 42nd birthday on Wednesday. Born on 7 October 1978, Zaheer made it to the Indian team in the year 2000 under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly.

Zaheer Khan has played 309 international matches throughout his career. Of these, 92 are Test matches, 200 one-day matches and 17 T20 matches. Zaheer has taken 610 wickets in 309 international matches in total. He has taken 311 wickets in Tests, 282 in One-Day and 17 wickets in T20.
