Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is now official
The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, which are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, are Xiaomi’s newest flagship smartphones and have officially gone on sale. Along with an iPhone-inspired look, the new Xiaomi phones have an upgraded camera system. Both devices come pre-installed with MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Additionally, these gadgets have Dolby Atmos-compatible dual speakers and an IP68 designation for water and dust protection.
The colour options for the Xiaomi 13 Pro include White, Black, Green, and maybe Light Blue. The Xiaomi 13 will also be offered in the following colours: Black, Light Green, Light Blue, Gray, White, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue.
Features and specifications of the Xiaomi 13 Pro
The newest and most expensive flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Pro, boasts a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a 1440p resolution (3200x1440p) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the phone has an ambient colour temperature sensor that enables it to automatically change the screen’s colour temperature in response to environmental factors.
With HDR 10 mode activated, the smartphone’s display can reach a maximum brightness of 1900 nits. The display has a maximum peak brightness of 1200 nits under typical circumstances. The phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and comes with 8/12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 128/512GB of inbuilt UFS 4.0 storage.
With a 50MP primary 1-inch type Sony IMX989 sensor, a 50MP 50mm telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens, the phone sports a 50MP triple camera configuration at the back. Leica supports the camera module of the 13 Pro, which can record videos with up to 8K resolution.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro is powered by a 4,820 mAh battery that supports up to 120W rapid wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The smartphone’s base model costs 4,999 Yuan, or approximately Rs 59,158, and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Similar to this, the top-tier Xiaomi 13 Pro model, which costs 6,299 Yuan (about Rs. 74,542) or 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage, is one of the priciest Xiaomi smartphones.
Specifications and features of the Xiaomi 13
With a 6.36-inch AMOLED screen that supports FHD+ (2400x1080p), 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10+, the smartphone is the Pro model’s smaller sister. Additionally, the Xiaomi 13’s display features an environmental colour temperature sensor for automated colour temperature adaptation in addition to up to 1900 peak lumens of brightness during HDR playing.
A 50MP primary f/1.8 wide-angle camera with hyper OIS will be part of the triple camera system on the smartphone. The gadget also features a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 10MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery that supports up to 67W rapid wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The Xiaomi 13 base model will be offered in four variations, with the entry-level model costing 3,999 Yuan (about Rs. 47,324) and offering 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the top-tier model with 12GB RAM and 512GB costs 6,299 Yuan (roughly Rs. 74,542).
The Xiaomi 13 is also available in two more configurations, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costing $4,299 (about Rs. 50,874) and $4,599 (roughly Rs. 54,424), respectively. Similar to last year, Xiaomi is anticipated to introduce its flagship product in India soon.
