On December 28, Xiaomi will release MIUI 13 alongside the Xiaomi 12 series. The Chinese original equipment manufacturer claims that the new MIUI version would improve the MIUI 12.5 version in terms of performance.

Xiaomi claims that MIUI 13 would increase “system fluency” and stability. Compared to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Version, the Chinese tech giant predicted a 20–26% increase in “fluency” for system apps and a 15–52% increase in “fluency” for third-party apps. Security and privacy improvements will be included in MIUI 13 and a special ‘Privacy Security Goalkeeper’ function to safeguard users against telecom and cybercrimes.

Xiaomi promised innovations including liquid storage, Focus Computing 2.0, and atomic memory for speedier results. The new MIUI will support full-screen mode in 3,000 apps, according to the business.

For a new experience, it is also likely to provide interface-level changes, such as new wallpapers, themes, and icons. Xiaomi may potentially use the release to repair faults in existing MIUI versions. MIUI 13 will be available for tablets as MIUI 13 Pad.

Last week, Xiaomi CEO and Co-Founder Lei Jun stated that the next Xiaomi 12 series would come with MIUI 13 pre-installed. However, the firm has not said which additional devices would receive the latest MIUI version.

Jun also showed several crucial aspects of the phones. The Xiaomi 12 will have a 67W fast wired charger and a 50W wireless charger, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro will have a 120W charger. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU will power both phones.

Some of the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s specifications, including renderings and live shots, have already leaked online, indicating a camera revamp with three 50 MP cameras.

To accommodate Xiaomi’s dual charging, the phone will be powered by a 4,600 mAh battery. A 6.73-inch screen with 1440p resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz are other features.
