Xiaomi’s next-generation premium smartphone, the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G, will be available in India shortly. The brand announced the news on social media, but the official launch date has yet to be determined. The Xiaomi phone will compete with Android flagships such as the Galaxy S22, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, iQoo 9 Pro, and OnePlus 10 Pro, all of which were released earlier this week in India. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor powers the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G, which was released in China in December 2021. Last month, the phone made its global premiere.
It is assumed that a 6.73′′ 120Hz QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU if the phone arrives in India with the same specs as it did in China. The phone might run MIUI 13 on Android 12 and have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The gadget also comes with a 4,600mAh battery that enables 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. A triple camera arrangement on the back has a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. A 32MP front camera is included for selfies and video calls. Stereo speakers, NFC, 5G connectivity, and an in-display fingerprint reader are all expected.
The price of the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G for the Indian market would be fascinating to observe. The smartphone debuted with a starting price of $999 across the world (roughly Rs 76,300). As previously stated, it will compete with flagship devices from Samsung, OnePlus, and others. The OnePlus 10 Pro is now available at Rs 66,999 (basic model), while the Galaxy S22 starts at Rs 72,999. With a price tag of Rs 49,999, Motorola’s most premium gadget, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, is the cheapest device in this category. On April 7, Realme will also introduce the Realme GT 2 Pro in India.
