Wipro’s net profit grew 31.80 per cent to Rs 2,544.50 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year. The company told the Bombay Stock Exchange that its Board of Directors has approved shareholders on one share bonus per share.
The company had a net profit of Rs 1,930.10 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. The company said that revenue received from operating during the reported quarter increased 10.17 percent to Rs 15,059.50 crore. Its revenues in the same quarter of last financial year was Rs 13,669 crore.
Wipro Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Abidali Neemuchwala said, “We have been successful in delivering satisfactory quarterly results with increasing consumer spending and strategic investment over strong relationships, modernization and digital change with consumers.”
The company has received the highest revenue of Rs 14,555 crore from IT services. It has increased by 1.80 percent. The company expects that the revenues from IT services in the March quarter could go up by two percent from 2,047 to 2,088 dollars. The company has also announced a dividend of Rs 1 per share.
