WhatsApp is developing new features to provide users/customers with something useful. The WhatsApp business directory is in the works, and it will allow users to filter nearby businesses using a new interface. The WhatsApp business directory is a new feature that allows users to easily find new business accounts on it without leaving the app.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s instant messaging software has enabled this feature for a limited time in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Shortly, more countries are likely to implement the same feature.

Users will filter nearby businesses based on their preferences in WhatsApp’s new business directory.
They will see a new section named WhatsApp Businesses Nearby in the app’s search bar once the new functionality is rolled out. Users can choose a category, and the results of business accounts are filtered accordingly.

This WhatsApp feature will most likely be available on both Android and iOS. The app hasn’t made any announcements about it, and there’s no official word on when it will be released. Previously, WhatsApp launched a new function that allows users to order groceries and other daily necessities through Jiomart. Users can use this function by going to WhatsApp’s ‘tap and talk’ page and adding things to their cards, such as fruits and vegetables, toothpaste, and cookery basics like paneer and chickpea flour.

Users can get groceries over WhatsApp for free with no delivery fees and minimum order value. The items can be paid for via JioMart or with cash on delivery. Meanwhile, the app is developing a new user experience to allow users to participate in WhatsApp phone calls. The new interface will be more compact and modern, allowing for better organization of available space, particularly when making group voice conversations.

The functionality is now only available for iOS, but the app is planning a similar overhaul to update WhatsApp beta for Android. Aside from that, WhatsApp is getting a new upgrade through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing it up to version 2.22.1.7. If you’re a group admin, you’ll be able to delete messages from groups in the new version.
