Vivo has unveiled the X Fold, its first foldable phone, as well as the Vivo X Note, a 7-inch smartphone. The Vivo X Fold, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, can be unfolded into an 8-inch plus table. A VivoPad tablet with a Snapdragon 870 CPU has also been released by the brand.
The phones have been introduced to China, but no information on worldwide availability or release date has been released.
Price and features of the Vivo X Fold
The 12GB+256GB edition of the Vivo X Fold starts at 8999 Yuan, while the 512GB version will set you back 9999 Yuan. The phone’s folded measurements are 162.01mm x 74.47mm, while its unfolded dimensions are 144.87mm. The folded thickness is 14.57-14.91mm, and the folded thickness is 6.28-7.40mm (unfolded). The phone weighs roughly 311 grammes, which is more than most normal phones, but that is to be anticipated considering that it has two screens.

A 50MP sensor with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle primary camera with a 114-degree field of view, and a 12MP portrait camera make up the main camera. An 8MP OIS periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and 60x superzoom is also included. Given that this is a foldable gadget, the back camera also serves as a selfie camera. Up to 8K ultra-high-definition video may be recorded using the camera.
The Vivo X Fold features two Nano-SIM slots and is powered by OriginOS Ocean, which is based on Android 12. Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band WiFi, a Type-C USB connector, and Beidou/GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/QZSS/NavIC navigation system capabilities are all included.
Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, Gyro, Electronic compass, Physical gyroscope, Laser focus sensor, air pressure sensor, and Hall sensor are all included in the phone.
Price and Specifications of Vivo X Note
The Vivo X Note starts at 5,999 Yuan for an 8GB RAM+256GB storage model, 6499 Yuan for a 12GB+256GB model, and 6999 Yuan for a 12GB+512GB model. The phone sports a 7-inch E5 AMOLED display with a 21:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3,080 x 1,440 pixels. This model is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo X Note features a similar quad camera with Zeiss branding as well. In the past, the brand was also a component of the Vivo X60 and X70 series. A 50MP primary sensor, 48MP ultra-wide camera, a periscope camera with 125 mm focal length and 5X optical zoom (up to 60X digital zoom), and a 12MP portrait camera make up the camera configuration. For picture processing, the phone includes Vivo’s proprietary V1 ISP.
The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports 80W wired and 50W wireless rapid charging. It will also be available in blue, black, and grey, with a leather-textured back similar to the Vivo X60+ Pro series.
