Vivo S16 Series to Launch on December 22
According to the Chinese manufacturer’s announcement on Thursday, the Vivo S16 series will debut in China on December 22. Vivo has officially unveiled all three smartphones in the Vivo S16 series, which will also include the Vivo S16 Pro, a day after rumoured specifications for the Vivo S16 and Vivo S16e appeared online. Vivo has displayed the phones’ designs on its website in addition to the launch date. According to the website, the new products will go on sale on December 22 at 7 PM local time (4.30 PM IST). The cost of the next smartphones is not yet known, though.
For the Vivo S16 and Vivo S16e, the Vivo website suggests three different colour options, while the Vivo S16 Pro is shown to have two colour options. According to the photos, the Vivo S16 and S16 Pro will have curved displays, while the Vivo S16e will have a flat one.
Additionally, it appears that each of the three phones has a ring light adjacent to the camera module that may potentially function as an LED flash. The handsets have a triple camera array on the back and a rectangular camera module. Additionally, it has a front camera with a hole cut out in the top centre of the display. Additionally, it is anticipated that all three of the Vivo S16 series versions will ship with Origin OS 3.0, which is based on Android 13.
Although Ishan Agarwal, a tipster, has supplied full specifications for the Vivo S16 and Vivo S16e, the specifics around the Vivo S16 Pro’s specifications are unclear. The Snapdragon 870 SoC and the Exynos 1080 SoC are claimed to power the two phones, respectively. Both devices will have a 4,600mAh battery and support 66W rapid charging in addition to having up to 12GB of RAM.
The Vivo S16 is expected to include a 6.78-inch AMOLED display panel with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The smartphone is anticipated to include 512GB of internal storage and up to 12GB of RAM.
Contrarily, the 6.62-inch AMOLED display on the Vivo S16e is anticipated to support 1080×2400 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is anticipated that the less expensive model will contain up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While the Vivo S16, Vivo S16 Pro, and Vivo S16e’s launch in China has been announced, there is no confirmation of its sale in India. Notably, the Vivo S15 was never sold in India. According to a 91Mobiles rumour, the Vivo S16 series may instead debut in India under the Vivo V27 series moniker.
