At least 2,600 foreign journalists have registered for covering their second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong- between 27-28 February. A Vietnam minister has confirmed this. However, Vietnam is also concerned about the fact that they have received enough time to prepare for it.
In a press conference on Thursday, Vietnam’s deputy foreign minister Le Haoi Trung said that after placing Vietnam’s capital Hanoi as a venue for the summit, they have only 20 days to prepare for it, whereas earlier this year Singapore had about two months to prepare for the US-North Korea Summit in June.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has also instructed the ministries and sectors that they should do their utmost to ensure its security to make the summit a success. The Prime Minister said that special attention should be given to the preparatory preparations. He emphasized the need to create a more conducive environment for international journalists coming to cover this meeting.
