Well, it is quite obvious that everybody wants to stay healthy, fit, and happy. But nowadays due to the pandemic (COVID- 19)we are much more concerned about our health than earlier. Our health is more important for us than anything else. This is a very tough and challenging time for all of us, we should stay strong and take care of ourselves as well as our family. Our health should be our first priority. And, to cope with this pandemic, here are a few ways for you to make your immune system strong and work better…

1.Practice Yoga And Meditation- 

Most of us often procrastinate a lot and as a result, we fail to practice yoga and meditation on a regular basis. But in order to stay healthy, we must practice it daily. We have to consider it as an essential part of our daily routine. The best time to practice it is morning, after waking up from the bed. It is the most important thing that we can do to keep our immune system strong. Therefore, we should never skip it on any day. It gives us the strength to fight with all disease-causing germs and keeps our mind calm. 

2. Drink Water- 

We all know that water is vital for all living beings. Without water sustaining life on Earth is totally impossible. It plays a key role in keeping our immune system strong. We must drink plenty of water every day. Most importantly, we should never forget to drink water in an empty stomach. Water helps in keeping the temperature of our body normal. Also, we must drink a glass of water 30 minutes before a meal as it helps in better digestion. We must drink 3 liters to 4 liters water every day. It keeps us strong and helps us in staying hydrated. It also gives relief from headaches and promotes healthy glowing skin. 

3. Include Vitamin C in your diet- 

Vitamin C plays a prime role in keeping our immune system healthy and strong. We should eat lots of fruits and vegetables like apple, orange, papaya, broccoli etc.that are rich in Vitamin C.We must include intake of Vitamin C in our regular diet. Also, green vegetables and citrus fruits like lemon, grapefruit, pomelo etc.must be included in our diet that contains Vitamin C.It helps a lot in the proper growth of our body and helps our immune system to work properly. We should always include Vitamin C in every meal. 

4. Get Adequate Sleep- 

Sleep is important for our mental health as well as our physical health. Lack of sleep can have a severe effect on our health. We must sleep for about 6 hours every day in order to stay healthy. Our brain works perfectly only when we get enough sleep. We should sleep and get up at the same time every day. Getting sufficient sleep makes us more energetic, relaxed, stress-free, and healthy. It is also said that getting adequate sleep can improve your memory power and also helps your body to fight back against all types of germs. 

5. Avoid Smoking And Alcohol- 

We all are familiar with the thing that smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol are very dangerous for our health. It affects our health to a great extent. For most of us smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol is a daily habit or an addiction. And, even if we want to quit, we find it very difficult to get rid of these bad habits. But we should try hard, again and again, to get rid of these bad habits. Smoking has a negative effect on our health, it can cause cancer. It also makes our immune system and memory power weak. But in case of alcohol, if you will reduce its consumption to an extent that you only drink it once or twice a month, then it will have positive effects on your body and it will be helpful to the overall health of your body. 

6. Step Out in Sunlight- 

It is quite familiar to all of us that the sun is the prime contributor to the production of Vitamin D on our body. Vitamin D is very essential for our body as it regulates the functioning of the immune system. Also, it plays a crucial role in the life cycle of the cells of our body. Our body produces Vitamin D itself only when we step out in the sun and let sunlight fall on our skin. The best time 

to step out in the sun is morning. The first rays of sunlight are rich in Vitamin D.We can briskly walk in sunlight for about 15 to 20 minutes, it will produce enough Vitamin D in the body. Vitamin D also helps in regulating the phosphate and calcium in our body. It also improves the blood circulation of our body. 

In this tough time, it is important for all of us to stay happy and positive. In order to stay positive, we must have a positive and healthy mindset. We should always practice gratitude. We should always be grateful for what we have and we should always look at any type of situation in a positive way.
