Famous golf player Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a road accident here when his car collided with a divider in the middle of the road and swung several times.
Woods was pulled out of the windshield and the surgeon who operated his legs stated that several ‘open fractures’, rods in the tibia, screws in the ankle and pins have been inserted at the bottom of Tiger Woods’ right foot.
He was alone in the car when his car collided with a ‘divider’ in the middle of the road and swung several times crossing two lanes. The officials gave this information to the media.
No other car was involved in the accident. Woods was cautious and using his fingers opened the front windshield which allowed him to be pulled out.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva of Los Angeles County said, “His airbag was opened and he got a cushion in the inner part of the car so he could survive the accident.” ‘
What Tiger Woods had to face?
Both legs have suffered significant injuries. Fire officials said that it was not yet known whether he had lost his leg. Officials said that there was no smell of alcohol or any other substance from his body. It is not even known what the speed of the car was. Sheriff’s assistant Carlos Gonzales said that accidents are common on this winding road. He said, ‘Woods is lucky to have survived.’
Woods was in Los Angeles for the Genesis Invitational tournament at the end of the week. He was to shoot for Discovery’s Golf TV on Monday and Tuesday. He also tweeted a photo on Monday.
Fifteen-time Major Championship winner Woods had back surgery in December, his fifth surgery. He returned to the golf course in 2019 to win the fifth Masters title. He last played the PNC Championship in Florida on December 20, in which he landed with his son.
Woods is the third victim of a car accident. Earlier in 2009, after returning in the early hours of ‘Thanksgiving’, his car hit a tree.
