Vietnam has expressed its commitment to provide maximum security for American President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong to meet him in the capital Hanoi this week. Kim Jong-un, the US president had left for Hanoi with an armored train while on Sunday in China to attend the second summit with the US President Trump, while Trump will board a jet to come to the capital of Vietnam.
Officials told in Hanoi that they had about 10 days for preparations for the Summit which were very few compared to about two months. For the first meeting of Trump-Kim last year, Singapore was given about two months time for preparations. Officials, however, said that strict security will be provided to the two leaders.
Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister said in a briefing, “Security will be at the highest level.” Another officer Nguyen Manh Hung told that there are more than three thousand journalists from 40 countries in Hanoi. Significantly, the Trump-Kim meeting is proposed in Hanoi on Wednesday and Thursday. The first summit between the two leaders was held in Singapore in June, which concluded without concrete agreement on North Korea’s nuclear disarmament program.
The meeting between the two leaders is going on in Hanoi, this time a lot of expectations are being made. In a conversation with a news channel, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that he was expecting a concrete move to continue. He warned, ‘It can not happen, but I hope it will happen.’
