The foundation stone of the first Hindu temple will be laid in Abu Dhabi in April this year. This information has been given in a media report. The plan to build a temple in the capital of UAE (UAE) was approved by the Abu Dhabi government during the first visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015.
The news of Gulf News said that the temple is being constructed by the World Hindu Religious and Civil Society, BAPS Swaminarayan Sansthan. It was said that the foundation stone of the temple will be held on April 20, which will be chaired by the current guru and President of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Mahant Swami Maharaj.
Spiritual gurus will stay in UAE from April 18 to 29. Abu Dhabi’s Wali Ahad (Crown Prince) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has given 13.5 acres of land in the temple for the construction of the temple. The UAE government has given similar land for construction of parking facility in the temple complex.
