Terrorist Hafiz Saeed has started campaigning for the general election.
Hafiz has started this election campaign under the banner of his 15-year old party, Allah-O-Akbar Tehrik (AAT). In fact, after the Milli Muslim League did not get the approval from the Election Commission, Hafiz had adopted the patent for the election under the AAT. This party is registered in the Election Commission.
Saeed inaugurated the AAT party’s office in Islamabad on June 21. MML was formed in August 2017 to fight the general election this year. However, the Election Commission had refused to register the party on June 13 this year. Earlier it was reported that the JUD has prepared 200 candidates to contest the national and provincial elections.
On April 3 this year, the US State Department issued a new list of terrorist organizations announced in which MML and Tehrik-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir were named as the Lashkar-e-Taiba unit.
In May 2008, the US Department of Treasury declared Saeed as a global terrorist under the Executive Order 13224. Let us know that in Pakistan there will be general elections on 25th of July.
