Singapore: Two ministers of Indian origin will be in the Trump-Kim meeting.
Singapore, The whole world is waiting for the historic meeting going to be held in Singapore on Tuesday between US President Donald Trump and North Korean ruler Kim Jong. Both leaders have reached Singapore for this meeting. Preparations for the meeting are in the final stages. The important responsibility of simplifying this meeting is to make two Singapore ministers – Vivian Balakrishnan and K. Shanmugam is playing which is of Indian origin.
Singapore’s Foreign Minister Balakrishnan has made important trips to Washington, Pyongyang and Beijing in recent times so that there is no interference in the last moments for the meeting being held in his country.
Balakrishnan (57) is from the ruling People’s Action Party. He has studied medicine. Shanmugam is the Minister of Singapore and Home Affairs Singapore. They have been responsible for the meeting between the US President and the Korean leader, without any interference from the security standpoint. Profession lawyer and Shammugam, 59, also belong to the ruling People’s Action Party.
Singapore is one of the few countries which have political connections from both the US and North Korea. Balakrishnan also received Kim on Sunday at the Changi Airport. He said that this meeting is happening after 70 years of suspicion, war and diplomatic failures. However, he said in the media that the stress of decades can not be overcome in a meeting, but both the leaders are very confident and optimistic on the basis of conversations and their personal interactions with the employees of both sides.
Singapore raises Kim’s hotels and costs of arrangements
Balakrishnan also said that the Singapore government is spending the kitty of the hotel bill of Kim. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Sunday that half of this is being spent on security. Meanwhile, Shanmugam said that he is confident that he has made a security arrangement. We have 5,000 home team officers like police and disaster response teams.
