Shah Rukh Khan ready for ‘Brahmastra’ spin-off?
Ayan Mukerji suggested via Indian Express that Shah Rukh Khan might have his own movie in the Astraverse. Many fans contacted filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, requesting the spin-off role of Mohan Bhargav, a scientist who wielded Vanarastra, from the Shah Rukh Khan movie. During the filming of Mohan’s character, Ayan Mukerji suggested a spin-off, saying, “Before the fans were saying it, we were also saying that ourselves. When we were shooting the sequence in 2019, we were also saying on sets. As we discovered the personality of the scientist, we said, ‘Yaar, we have to do stuff. We have to do the origins story of the scientist! ‘”
The director hinted that the spin-off might depict the scientist’s early life and said, “We were also vibing on that frequency, my assistants and I. So, I guess my response to the spin-off demand is that: We are already thinking about it. We are hearing everything and are planning our next moves.”
Shiva was played by Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra Part 1 alongside Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, and other actors. Along with Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone made a cameo appearance in the film.
The fantasy-based sci-fi drama, which debuted in theatres on September 9, has been breaking numerous box office records. The trilogy will be produced by Ayan Mukerji, who will also create the Astraverse, a multiverse.
