The hectic launch season for new electronic items is about to begin, which means it’s time for Samsung’s annual Unpacked event. The Korean company is famous for hyped-up product launches, and this year is no exception. Even though Samsung has many events throughout the year, today’s product announcement will focus on the Galaxy S22. The new Galaxy S22 range will be unveiled at an event, but it may not be all. Here’s what you like to see.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be presented at the Galaxy Unpacked event today:
The regular Samsung Galaxy S22 model and the Plus variation are said to keep the original design. As a result, you may expect the design to be comparable to the Galaxy S21 phones from last year. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to have a more expensive and unique design. It will also support the S Pen.
The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus are expected to use the same “Contour Cut” back camera housing as the Galaxy S21 series from last year. The phones are said to have a glass back and 50MP primary cameras. In North America and Canada, the Galaxy S22 will be equipped with a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU. In contrast, in Europe and India, the Galaxy S series will be provided with Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 chipset.
Expected Specs and Features
According to the sources, the Galaxy S22 will have a 6.1-inch display, while the Galaxy S22 Plus will have a 6.6-inch panel. The Ultra model is rumored to have a massive 6.81-inch display. It will feature a curved screen with squared-off borders, whereas the other two variants may have flat screens. All three versions are likely to feature LTPO screens, which implies that depending on the content, the device will modify the display’s refresh rate from 120Hz to 1Hz. This will assist in extending the life of the battery. These handsets are reported to support the DCI-P3 color gamut on its whole.
We anticipate better low-light performance, particularly when recording videos. It’s also possible to get a superior wide-angle lens, as well as Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. The S22 and S22+, which have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, will cost €849 (about Rs 72,400) and €1049 (roughly Rs 89,500), respectively.
The 2022 flagships are projected to gain some improvements in terms of photography. A 50MP triple rear camera array is believed to be included in both the regular and Plus models. Samsung’s GN5 sensor, also utilized by the Google Pixel 6, might be used for the primary camera.
The phones are expected to utilize Adaptive Pixel technology, which is said to shoot images in two modes: 108-megapixel (remosiac mode) and 12-megapixel (nonabinning) for a more detailed image in 12-bit. The Galaxy S22 series’ entry-level device is believed to contain a 3X telephoto zoom lens with a 10MP resolution.
