Samantha Ruth Prabhu teases Akshay Kumar on his massive film fee
Koffee With Karan, Karan Johar’s gossip-filled and highly entertaining discussion show, is back after a two-year hiatus. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akshay Kumar appeared on the show as guests on the third episode. The two exchanged information and revealed several secrets during their conversation. They enjoyed the concert much as well. Samantha and Akshay each discussed how they got started in the industry.
Akshay admitted that the Bollywood film Jaani Dushmann, in which he co-starred alongside 7 superstars, was essential in helping him get a respectable position. He spoke about his tough times when he was making 5000 rupees a month and an ad agency suddenly gave him 21,000 for a two-hour shot.
Samantha also explained how she got started in the profession in the South. She said that she began to concentrate more on her profession after her father told her he wouldn’t be able to repay her debt.
The conversation was followed by a fun-filled rapid-fire round for Samantha and Akshay, though. Samantha once jokingly said that she wanted the gift basket whether she won or not. She added, “Your per day cost is my entire film’s salary,” to her statement to Akshay. Although Akshay was the victor, he graciously offered Samantha the gift.
