Runway 34, directed by Ajay Devgn, appears to be a compelling story situated 35,000 feet above land. This isn’t your typical narrative of an aircraft crash and its survivors. The second trailer for the film, which was published on Monday, confirms that there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
Vikrant Khanna is played by Ajay Devgn, who also directed the film. Rakul Preet Singh portrays his co-pilot. Due to adversity caused by terrible weather, Vikrant goes to great lengths to guarantee that the passenger jet lands safely. He does, however, appear to be a man with a lot to conceal. To the surprise of everyone in the control room, he picks Runway 34 for the landing. It remains to be seen if the plane lands or crashes. However, his choice necessitates an inquiry.
In Runway 34, Amitabh Bachchan plays an investigative officer who vows to find out what pilot Vikram Khanna’s true objectives are. According to Vikram, under such trying circumstances aboard, a pilot becomes the passengers’ lone saviour on the one hand. Aboard the other hand, everything that occurs on the plane falls within his control. Boman Irani, Adhira Dhar, and Aakanksha Singh also feature in the film.
The movie Runway 34 is reported to be based on genuine events. “Runway 34 centres around Captain Vikrant Khanna, a flying prodigy, whose flight follows a peculiar trajectory after take-off from an overseas destination,” according to the synopsis.
“It’s got terrific highs, alarming lows, a sense of jubilance and dejection, all within the screenplay,” Ajay Devgn, who is making his directorial return after 2016’s Shivaay, previously remarked. “Honestly, letting this script just pass me by, was not even a consideration. I knew I had to make it.”
Runway 34 is based on an actual incident that occurred on a Jet Airways Doha-Kochi flight in 2015 when the plane narrowly avoided tragedy owing to terrible weather, limited fuel, and poor visibility. On April 29, the film will be released in theatres.
