Reliance Jio is launching soon ‘Home broadband service’.
After demolishing all telecom companies in mobile services, Reliance Jio has now decided to uproot the home broadband service. By the end of this year, the much-awaited Fiber-to-the-Home service can be launched by Reliance Jio Infocom. This could once again lead to price war with telecom company Airtel.
Since its launch in September, 2016, after the price war in the field of mobile services, Mukesh Ambani’s company is now in the process of preparing to do televised home broadband services. The company has also given the facility of video and unlimited voice calls with data speed of 100 Mbps. It costs only Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500.
Although many people believe that in the various cities currently being offered as pilot project, Geo can be given free service at the beginning. It would be as if the company did in the mobile service to make its penetration. A source familiar with the entire matter said that during the annual meeting of Reliance Industries on July 5, the announcement of Jio’s home broadband services can be made.
Meanwhile, listening to Geo’s voice, Airtel has already started working on its own drawbacks. A senior executive of Bharti Airtel said, “We are keeping a close watch on home broadband space. We are investing in innovation as well. We will try to stay in the service and charge level. ‘
Country’s number one telecom company Airtel has plans to invest Rs 24,000 crore in the financial year 2019 to expand the wired broadband service. Airtel’s home broadband expansion is currently in 89 cities of the country. Company now wants to reach it in 100 major cities.
