Reliance Jio 5G Beta Trials Begin in Delhi and Other Cities With Over 1Gbps Download Speed
Reliance Jio on Thursday began beta testing of 5G services in Varanasi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and the nation’s capital. Users may expect download speeds of over 1Gbps.
Users in Chanakyapuri, in New Delhi’s Lutyens’ Zone, received internet speeds of more than 1Gbps.
The business stated during the trial that “5G services will now be provided only via invitation.”
The company claims that 5G signals will gradually begin to reach everyone in the city in a staged manner. Standalone 5G technology from Jio is referred to as “True 5G.”
A consumer in Delhi expressed his satisfaction with the 5G speed being provided. He continued by saying that during the epidemic time, a large number of users—both businesses and students—were added to the Internet base, and 5G services will benefit these individuals and organisations.
Jio True 5G welcome offer is being launched in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi for Jio members, per an official announcement issued by Reliance Jio on October 4.
These subscribers will receive unlimited 5G broadband at speeds of up to 1Gbps. As cities continue to prepare, the Beta testing service for new cities will be gradually publicised.
In order to offer each client the best coverage and user experience, users will be able to take advantage of this Beta trial until the network coverage of a city is essentially complete.
Jio True 5G will be automatically updated for invited “Jio Welcome Offer” consumers without requiring them to switch their current Jio SIM or 5G device. Jio is also collaborating with all handset manufacturers to ensure that their 5G handsets are compatible with Jio True 5G services, giving customers the widest selection of 5G devices possible.
