According to family sources, Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu, actor Mahesh Babu’s older brother and Superstar Krishna’s eldest son, died here on Saturday night owing to health issues. He was just 56 years old.
Ramesh Babu was Superstar Krishna’s oldest son.
After fighting sickness for many months, the actor and producer passed away on January 8.
According to sources, Ramesh Babu had been suffering from liver problems for a long time, but his death came as a shock.
The news of his death was verified by GMB Entertainment, the family’s production business, on Twitter.
The tweet said, “An Official Press Statement from the Ghattamaneni Family over the untimely demise of Shri. Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu garu!”
He was an actor who appeared in films such as Bazaar Rowdy and Mugguru Kodukulu.
He became a producer after retiring from performing in 1997.
Others have expressed their sympathies to Ramesh Babu’s family, including actor Varun Tej, Anil Ravipudi, Ramesh Varma, Gopichand Malineni, and Nithin.
Mahesh Babu recently tested positive for Covid-19 and is temporarily confined to his house. He’s not sure whether he’ll be able to attend his brother’s funeral.
