Raksha Bandhan trailer released!
On Tuesday evening, the teaser for Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, was premiered. Akshay is shown in the almost three-minute clip seeking grooms to marry off his four sisters. Akshay Kumar plays a restaurant owner in the film. While he hunts for acceptable men for his sisters, Bhumi, his love interest, is seen questioning him about their wedding.
Throughout the teaser, Akshay can be seen juggling his career and caring for his four sisters. With Akshay attempting to discover how to pay for his sisters’ weddings, the social comedy pokes a light at dowry. In one scenario, Akshay is seen visiting a marriage office seeking discounts on weddings.
Bhumi’s father, on the other side, offers him an ultimatum to marry his daughter. Akshay is shown attempting to marry one of his sisters to a junk dealer in a frantic attempt to find a spouse. The teaser concludes with Akshay finally marrying one of his sisters.
In the last scene, Akshay tells his sister that he has taken out a loan on his store. When she inquires about the funds required for the weddings of the three remaining sisters, Akshay chuckles and says he would sell one of his kidneys. Akshaya is also seen sobbing with her hands clasped in one of the moments.
Raksha Bandhan is produced by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films and directed by Aanand L Rai. In addition to Abhinay Raj Singh, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth, the film features Abhinay Raj Singh, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth. On August 11, Raksha Bandhan will be released.
The film was originally scheduled to be released in theatres throughout the world on November 5, 2021, to coincide with Diwali, but it has been postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic, which has caused a delay in pre-production and other critical tasks. After Bachchhan Paandey and Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan will be Akshay Kumar’s third release in 2022.
