Rajinikanth turned 71: Fans are celebrating!

Rajinikanth’s fans have been congratulating him on social media, including Twitter, on his 71st birthday. Fans usually gather in front of Rajinikanth’s house on his birthday. Sometimes Rajinikanth would come out and wave to the fans. This time he promised to start a political party and more fans were expected to flock to Voice Garden.
Thus, Rajinikanth announced a few days ago that fans should not come to his house on the eve of his birthday and that he was going to Bangalore.

Fans, however, gathered in front of the house on the eve of his birthday. There they cut the cake at midnight.

Screen celebrities and political party leaders have been congratulating Rajinikanth on social media. The hashtag #HBDSuperstarRajinikanth is trending on Twitter.

Usually, on Rajinikanth’s birthday, his fans perform special puja at temples, almsgiving and welfare assistance. These are likely to take place this time around as Rajinikanth enters politics and faces elections in a few months.

The journey of Rajinikanth from bus conductor to Superstar

Rajinikanth’s real name is Shivaji Rao Gaikwad. His father’s name was Ramoji Rao Gaekwad and he was a havildar. Rajinikanth was the youngest of four siblings. His mother had died when he was only four years old, after which his entire family broke up. Rajinikanth realized the poor condition of the house and then started working as a porter. He also worked as a carpenter. After some time he got a job as a bus conductor in the Bangalore Transport Service.

Rajneekat was working but he was having intense interest to the film world. He wanted to come on the screen and act. While working as a conductor, he also started working in Kannada theatre. After this, Rajinikanth enrolled in Madras Film Institute in 1973 with the help of a friend and got a diploma in acting to fulfil his dream of working in films. Rajinikanth started his film career at the age of 25. His first Tamil film was ‘Apoorva Ragnagal’.

He has worked with Kamal Haasan and Srividya in this film. Between 1975 and 1977, he played the role of Villain with Kamal Haasan in most films. His first Tamil film ‘Bhairavi’ came in the lead role. The film became a big hit and Rajinikanth became a star.


After this, Rajinikanth did not look back and gave many super hit films one after the other. His different style became his identity. Soon, due to his different style of speaking and strong acting, he became the superstar of South Cinema.

Movies in Bollywood and his achievements

After touching the fame of fame in the South, Rajinikanth turned to Bollywood and made his debut in the film ‘Andha Kanoon’. In Bollywood too, he made people crazy with his strong acting and signature style. His style of flipping cigarettes or a unique style of tossing coins or wearing glasses and laughing style was a huge sensation at that time. People were copying Rajinikanth’s style not only in the country but also abroad.

In Bollywood, Rajinikanth has worked in films like 2.0, Insaaf Kaun Karega, Khoon Ka Debon, Krantikari, Meri Adalat, John Johnny Janardan, Bhagwan Dada, Andha Kanoon, Chaalbaaz and Insaniyat Ka Devata. Rajinikanth is also called the most expensive star in Asia. He charges around 80 crores for a film.

Rajinikanth, who has given the best films to the cinema world, has been awarded 6 Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in 2014. Four of them were given for Best Actor and two Special Awards for Best Actor. He was also awarded the Padma Bhushan in the year 2000. In 2014, Rajinikanth was also awarded the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year at the 45th International Film Festival of India.
