In a meeting with Mr. Xi Jinping, PM Modi appreciated the three dams built in Wuhan city and said that when I was CM of Gujarat, I had heard about them. The scale and the speed at which you created them affected me. That’s why I came to the study tour and one day decided to spend on the dam. PM Modi told Xi Jinping, “The cultures of both India and China are related to the rivers. If we talk about the ancient civilization of Harappa and Mohenjodaro, then they were settled on the banks of rivers.
This is the first time after nearly 70 days of tension between the forces of China and India in Doklam, between Bhutan and Sikkim, when the two leaders have met.
