President of Ecuador termed Julian Assange a problem.
Quito, Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno termed WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as a ‘inherited problem’, which has created ‘more problems than a fuss’ for his government.
Moreno said in an interview given to television networks, “We expect a positive result in the short term.” In the beginning of this month Ecuador has granted citizenship of citizenship to Assange after an unsuccessful attempt to bring Assange out of the London Embassy without risking diplomatic immunity and the UK’s arrest.
Assange sought refuge in Ecuador’s embassy in 2012 to avoid extradition in Sweden. Sweden later removed the case related to sex crimes related to Assange. It was left in the Embassy of the Assange, because because of the bail out of the case, the sword of arrest was hanging over him in London. They got Ecuadorian citizenship from December 12 last year.
