With the launch of the Poco F4 5G in India, Poco has updated its F-smartphone line. Along with the Poco X4 5G, which has not yet been released in the country, the phone also had its worldwide premiere. With the slogan “everything you need,” the new Poco F4 5G is powered by the same Snapdragon 870 processor as the OnePlus 9R and iQOO Neo 6 5G. In order to take clearer photos and movies, the smartphone also has a 64-megapixel main camera that supports optical image stabilisation (OIS).

The 6.67-inch Full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) display on the new Poco F4 5G has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. Without any Corning glass protection, the rear has a glass finish. Naturally, a lot of fingerprint smudges are drawn to the glass rear panel.

For a fully immersive movie viewing experience, the display also supports Dolby Vision. To safeguard their eyes when reading at night, users may benefit from MIUI 13’s reading mode. The 20-megapixel front camera is housed in a small hole on the front panel of the Poco F4 5G.

The Poco F4 5G’s internal hardware consists of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is 5G ready, as the name would imply.

A rectangular, black module serves as the home for the three back cameras. A 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens are all part of the back camera module. The Poco F4 5G’s camera app has modes including portrait, panoramic, professional, hdr, AI scene identification, video frame, professional colour, tilt-shift, and document mode.

The main back camera can also capture 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. Only 1080p resolution videos may be recorded with the front camera.

There is no headphone port, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, a dual-SIM card tray, and these are the connectivity choices. A charging adaptor with the same output is also included in the packaging for the Poco F4 5G’s 4,500mAh battery and 65W charger. Poco is also showing off the design of the 7.7mm-thick Poco F4 5G. The device runs MIUI 13 on Android 12.

The base 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model of the new Poco F4 5G costs Rs 27,999, and the top 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs Rs 33,999. Another model costs Rs 29,999 and comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

Green and Black are the available colour options for the Poco F4 5G. The distinctive Poco Yellow colour option, which some of the more cost-effective Poco devices have, has not yet been introduced by the brand.
