Yes, you read that right. No, I’m not kidding. Sushant Singh Rajput’s Pavitra Rishta has been released on the OTT platform, Zee5. Pavitra Rishta is a flashback to the most amazing days of my life, and I’m pretty sure it’s the same for most. The best thing to do every night was to sit with my family and watch Pavitra Rishta right after dinner.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise left everyone shattered. The reason why Pavitra Rishta is so special to all his fans is that this great actor found fame as the protagonist Manav Deshmukh, who was the lead character of the show.

This may come as a shocker to many, but Pavitra Rishta wasn’t Sushant Singh Rajput’s TV debut. Sushant made his TV debut as Preet Juneja in Ekta Kapoor’s directorial Kis Desh mein hai meraa dil. But unfortunately, his character died early in the show. Soon after which he was recommended for Pavitra Rishta, however, the channel wasn’t convinced that he’d be apt for the part.

Around two weeks before his death, Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram and revealed how she convinced the channel that his smile would win the hearts of the audience. She had shared a Pavitra Rishta promo on Instagram and captioned it, “After being 35 of 50 slots we were out of top 50! This show was a chance @zeetv gave us based on a show #tirumatiselvum! Wanted to cast a boy as lead who was doing second lead on our other show! D creative in zee was adamant he dint look d part! We@convinced them his smile wud win a million hearts…..and it did @sushantsinghrajput.”

To which Sushant also replied by saying, “And I’m forever grateful to you ma’am,” to which she responded, “sushiiiii lobeeee u,” with a number of heart emojis.

Sushant Singh Rajput was in a serious relationship with his Pavitra Rishta co-star, Ankita Lokhande. Their love story was a fairytale that began on the sets of Pavitra Rishta. The show has a total of 1424 episodes and it aired from 2009-2014. It was one of the most-watched television show back then.
