Pakistan General Election Campaign: Rally in support of Nawaz, Case against brother Shahbaz.

Lahore, In connection with the removal of the rally in support of the deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, 1500 PML workers of PML-N, former PM Shahid Abbasi and former CM of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, along with several other leaders have been booked under terrorism and other charges.

Police said that a case has been registered in connection with the violation of law on Friday for leaders and workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). These people are accused of attacking policemen and rangers, harming public property and judiciary and abusing the army.

Thousands of PML-N workers had march to Allahama Iqbal Airport to welcome Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, Mary Nawaz. Both of them have come here from London to face the case of Avonfield property corruption in 10 years and 7 years respectively.

According to the police, Shah Rashid, the younger brother of PML-N and Nawaz Sharif, led the rally here which was a violation of Section 144. Under this law, there is a restriction on the gathering of five or more people at one place at one place.

PML-N has condemned the filing of the FIR and urged to abolish it as many of the leaders who have registered cases are taking part in the elections to be held on July 25. PML-A spokesman Mary Aurangzeb said, ‘It is an attempt to stop our leaders from participating in the elections. This is a rigging before the election. ‘
