Oppo Reno 8 Pro

Oppo Reno 8 Pro will receive a significant update over Reno 7 Pro

Gadgets Technology

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro is one of our favourite premium camera smartphones, but the company is already working on a successor. It will be known as the Reno 8 Pro, and early leaks have shown that it will be very different from the Oppo Reno 8. This time, the Reno 8 series is believed to contain three versions, with the Reno 8 Pro at the top of the line and the basic Reno 8 as the safest option. A Reno 8 SE is also expected to include the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor. But for the time being, let’s speak about the Reno 8 Pro.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro will be released later this year as the top model in the Oppo Reno 8 series, according to popular tipster Digital Chat Station. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor, which we saw on the OnePlus 10R, is expected to be included in the Reno 8 Pro. The Dimensity 8100 performs similarly to the Snapdragon 888, and we’ve previously seen it operate admirably on the Realme GT Neo 3. However, similar to the OnePlus 10R, the Max name may prompt Oppo to further optimise it for AI tasks.

The main camera will be a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, which was previously seen on the Reno 7 Pro. This will be complemented by an additional camera sensor, both of which are currently unknown. These will almost certainly be ultra-wide and depth cameras. According to the source, Oppo will employ its MariSilicon X processor to aid with photo processing. The phone will be powered by a 4500mAh battery and will support 80W charging.

An aluminium frame, two speakers, and a stronger vibration motor are believed to be among the other characteristics of the Reno 8 Pro. The phone is expected to weigh 180 grammes and measure 7.34mm thick.
