Kabul, Anger is rising among the people in the capital after killing 100 people and injuring hundreds of others in an explosion-filled bomb blast in Kabul, Afghanistan. Taliban took responsibility for this attack. US President Donald Trump has talked of “concrete action” against the Taliban for this attack. Other international leaders have also condemned the attack. The common Afghan citizens expressed their anger and sadness on the social media about the fast-growing security system.
The attacks of Taliban and Islamic State are increasing in Kabul, which has made it the deadliest place for citizens in Afghanistan. Farhatta Karim wrote on Twitter, “We are very disappointed in Kabul, because we do not know how to start a new day.” Naveed Qadri wrote on Facebook, “It is a matter of great shame for the government, they have failed to protect people constantly. Leaders need to lose a son or daughter to understand the misery of poor people. ‘ The explosion took place in the crowded area of the city, where there are offices of many high profile organizations including the European Union.
The government has blamed the Haqqani network associated with the Taliban for the attack. Afghans and Western officials are suspected of involvement in some of the recent attacks in the capital. Home Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi told a press conference that most victims are civilians. Four suspects have been arrested. Just one week before the attack, Taliban militants attacked Kabul’s Intercontinental Hotel, killing 25 people. Most of the dead were foreign nationals.
