Netflix: ‘Crash Landing on You’ strikes all the right notes, with a lot of heart.

Entertainment Movie Trailers review Videos

‘Crash Landing on you’ is one of the most hyped series on Netflix. If you’re a newbie to K-dramas and wondering where to dip the proverbial toe, Crash Landing On You may be just the spot. The Korean show is the perfect mix of romance, family, friendship, and fashion.

The massively successful series checks all the right notes. Romance and comedy? Check. Drama? That’s right. Thrills and mystery? Check! Interesting characters and engaging storylines? That’s the best part of it.
The story follows a South Korean Heiress, Yoon Se Ri, (played by Son Ye Jin) got whirled away in a paragliding incident to North Korea.
There, she was rescued by a handsome North Korean soldier, Ri Jeong Hyeok (played by Hyundai Bin). He brought her into his home to protect her and plan for her transport back to South Korea. Eventually, the two fall in love.

This is just the general plot. For all those who are probably thinking what makes this show unique, let me shed some light on the restrictions in North Korea.
So apparently, human rights in North Korea are extremely limited. It is illegal for the North Korean people to leave their country without the regime’s permission, and the regime attempts to restrict the people’s movement even inside their own country. Crazy, right? Well, that’s one of the reasons why this web series is not like the other web series available on Netflix.

Some of you may find it rather unremarkable but let me tell you, I’m not really a fan of K-dramas, but this one really touched my heart. This series shows so much simplicity and preciousness.
The series sure does have the classic drama clichés, but it’s not cheesy or cringe, it’s pure, sweet, romantic, with some high-quality action. It has a lot of funny moments.
This show is beyond amazing and flawless. The chemistry between the lead characters was great. They were so nuanced. Notably, the supporting characters too were remarkable. Comedy was weaved in at every opportunity. The plot was unpredictable. It got more and more intense with the lead characters taking turns to be at gunpoint or in a critical condition at the end of each episode.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that I’m really looking forward to the next season and more creative plot twists. If you haven’t started watching this series yet, what are you even doing? You have 16 episodes of pure gold to watch, only on Netflix. Enjoy!
