Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya Siddiqui, who has now changed her name to Anjana Anand Kishor Pandey, recently filed a police complaint against Nawazuddin’s brother Shamasuddin.

The charges were for criminal offenses under sections 503, 354, 354A, 354D & 509 of IPC & section 66 of IT Act, which is along the lines of outraging of modesty, breach of peace and stalking. Reacting to the same, Shamas told news channels, “I have not got any response from the police. Whenever I am called, I will give my statement.”

Aaliya Siddiqui took this to social media. She tweeted, “I have communicated a written complaint against Shamas Siddiqui for criminal offenses punishable under Sec 503, 354, 354A, 354D & 509 of IPC & Sec 66 of IT Act. Please file FIR immediately. I have also submitted admissible evidence. @CPMumbaiPolice @MumbaiPolice.”

Bollywood filmmaker Shamas further revealed that he has always been supportive of Aaliya all along, even when she decided to become a producer with her film ‘Holy Cow’ and that they have been friends for a long time.

“I have known her even before Nawazuddin did. I was the one who introduced them. We have been friends and I never called her Bhabhi (sister in law). When she called me that her film ‘Holy Cow’ has been stuck due to funds, I gave her money with an agreement of ₹ 1.30 crore. However, over a course of time, I had to transfer more money which now amounts to ₹ 2.16 crore. We have had so many email exchanges with me asking for my money,” says Shamas.

However, after all of this, the frustrated ‘Bole Chudiyan’ director has now filed a fraud and criminal breach of trust complaint before the DCP of Mumbai’s ZONE 9 and a criminal defamation case at the Magistrate’s Court against Aaliya. “Nawaz Bhai and I have always supported her. I have nothing to do with their divorce case, but now I am being wrongly portrayed,” he added.

Shamasuddin’s advocate Adnan Shaikh confirmed, “Legal notices were sent to Aaliya in August and September 2019 for siphoning funds and she refused to give accounts. There have been over 100 email exchanges in this regard”.
