But as per the news now, Vijay Sethupathi is going to leave the movie. This news comes after many people went mad when the news for this movie came out.
800 is the movie name. Recently, as per the news, Muttiah Muralitharan supported Lankan Government. This became an issue because he supported the government during the civil war with LTTE.
When this news came out, Muttiah Muralitharan also came forward to explain. He defended himself and said he never was the one to disrespect Eelam Tamils. Tamil origin of himself urged him to say this. But many people said and argued with him. They mentioned that they have seen him disrespecting Eelam Tamils. According to them, there is a video that shows him taking the stand of Gotabaya Rajapaksa. He is Sri Lanka’s president and was a war-time defense secretary. He was secretary till the time of the end of the civil war.
People who asked the actor Vijay Sethupathi to back himself from the 800 included famous people too. They included Bharathiraja, Ameer, Thamarai, and Cheran and even a state minister, Kadambur C Raju. Tamil people’s sentiments are hurting and due to this only he was asked to back.
After this dispute, Muttiah Muralitharan asked the actor to back out from the movie 800. And for this, the actor thanked him and shared a statement.
Muralitharan said, “imposing pressure on actor Vijay Sethupathi to withdraw himself from the movie due to the wrong notions surrounding me”. He meant that the suffering of an actor due to him was not correct.
He said that this movie is going to act as an inspiration for others and for the coming generations too. And the producers of the movie will inform of all of the other things related to movie. “I will stand with them,” Muralitharan stated.
