According to reports, popular Kannada actor and comedian Mohan Juneja died on Saturday, May 7, after a protracted illness. His age was 54. According to various accounts, the actor had been sick and had failed to react to the therapy. On Saturday, he died at a private hospital in Bengaluru. Mohan was most recently seen in the hit KGF: Chapter 2, having previously acted in the precursor to the film four years earlier. On social media, the production studio for the film series paid respect to him.
Over the course of a decade, Mohan acted in over a hundred films in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. With the Kannada film Wall Poster, he made his debut. In Karnataka, his appearances on TV series like Vataara made him a household name. Fans enjoyed his short cameo in the KGF franchise as well as his presence in Chellata.
KGF’s production firm Hombale Films posted a photo of Mohan on Twitter with the caption “We miss you Mohan Juneja” a few hours after his death. A still from the actor’s latest performance in KGF Chapter 2 was used to create the image. “Our sincere condolences to actor Mohan Juneja’s family, friends & well-wishers,” the caption stated in Kannada and English. He was a well-known figure in Kannada cinema and a member of our KGF family.”
Several admirers took to social media to express their sorrow at the actor’s passing, uploading photos and videos from his career and paying respect to him. According to sources, his last rites will be performed in the presence of family and close friends on Saturday evening in Bengaluru.
