Kerala flood: Government assumes, it is very dangerous situation; Center declares help.

New Delhi, A lot of rain started in Kerala on Sunday. Due to this, relief operations have been affected in flood and landslide affected areas. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh conducted aerial survey of two flood affected districts of Kerala. Rajnath Singh has admitted that the situation in Kerala is very dangerous. He has also announced help of Rs 100 crore immediately from the center.

They assured the Center to provide all possible help to the state to deal with the challenges arising due to unprecedented floods. Rajnath Singh has said that the first installment of Rs 80.25 crore was released last month in support of SDRF from the center. The minister spoke to reporters at the airport after air survey in Idukki and Ernakulam districts.




On the other hand, after some relief in Kerala, rain started again in several parts since Sunday morning. This has affected the relief work. However, officials said that there was some relief from the decrease in water level in the Idukki and Edmalar reservoirs.

Officials say there is no need to panic among the people living in lower areas. He told that there is no news of any casualties from Saturday. During this monsoon, on August 8, 37 people have died in the rain related incidents. More than 60,000 people are living in relief camps in different areas.

They include Wayanad, where more than 14,000 people are in shelter. Defense sources said that with 10 columns of Army, one unit of Madras Regiment, the Navy, Air Force and NDR personnel were deployed in relief and rescue operations in badly affected districts Kozhikode, Idukki, Malappuram, Kannur and Wayanad.
