Today, December 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Rs 339 crore Kashi Vishwanath Dham project. The initiative will be launched in Varanasi, PM Modi’s home constituency.

PM Modi will be accompanied by numerous BJP-led state chief ministers and deputy chief ministers to Kashi Vishwanath. Today they will also see the ‘Ganga Aarti’ from a cruise ship. “Tomorrow, December 13, is a momentous day,” PM Modi posted on Twitter. The Shri Kashi, Vishwanath Dham project will be inaugurated in Kashi. This will enliven Kashi spiritually. I urge you, everyone, to attend tomorrow’s event.”

PM Modi laid the foundation stone for Kashi Vishwanath Dham on March 8, 2019. PM Modi will arrive in Varanasi this morning, and the inauguration will last about 2-3 hours. According to ANI, Prime Minister Modi would reach Kashi Vishwanath Dham from the ghat side, then inaugurate the corridor. He will travel through the new hall and observe the buildings.”

The Kashi Vishwanath Dham project involves restoring and beautifying approximately 40 temples. The project also included the construction of 23 additional buildings to accommodate the pilgrims who visit the holy route. The CMs and deputy CMs of 12 states will attend the two-day Varanasi conclave. Varanasi will get a new global identity, according to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
