Since filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri alleged that The Kapil Sharma Show’s producers refused to promote The Kashmir Files, the comedian has been chastised on social media. After Agnihotri claimed that the comedy programme was uninterested because his film lacked prominent performers, the hashtag Boycott The Kapil Sharma Show began trending on Twitter. While Kapil Sharma had asked people not to trust one-sided reports, Anupam Kher has now spoken out on the subject. In a new interview, he supported Kapil.

Kapil posted a clip on Monday in which Kher tells a TV presenter that he was invited to The Kapil Sharma Show, but that he cannot go due to the film’s serious subject matter, which would be improper for a comedy show. Kapil responded to the video on Twitter, writing, “Thank you paji ⁦⁦@AnupamPKher for clarifying all the false allegations against me ❤️” The actor-comedian sarcastically added, “Thanks to those who showered me with so much love without knowing the truth.”

Previously, Kapil attempted to clarify his position on the subject by responding to a fan’s question on Twitter. He stated that it is pointless to explain to individuals who have already made up their minds. He also stated that “one-sided stories” should not be trusted.

Fans turned to social media just before the premiere of The Kashmir Files to seek that Vivek Agnihotri appears on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote it. However, the filmmaker said that the comedian and the TKSS crew declined to let them on the show since his film did not feature well-known actors. His post stated, “I don’t get to decide who should be invited on @KapilSharmaK9 show. It’s his and his producer’s choice whom he wants to invite. As far as Bollywood is concerned, I’d say what once Mr Bachchan was quoted saying about Gandhis: Vo raja hai hum rank.”

The Kashmir Files has dominated the movie box office since its premiere. The film has so far grossed Rs 27.15 crore.
