Kangana Ranaut rehearses for the climax song in Chandramukhi 2
Actress Kangana Ranaut has returned to the Chandramukhi 2 set after just wrapping up filming for her forthcoming directorial endeavor Emergency. She is now practicing for the climax song, which choreography is being done by Kala.
In the movie, Kangana Ranaut will take on the character of Chandramukhi, a dancer in a king’s court. Notably, Jyotika, an actor, played the part in the first film. Raghava Lawrence plays the male lead in the movie.
Lawrence expressed his excitement to be a part of Chandramukhi 2 on Facebook in 2020. He claimed that in order to participate in the movie, a follow-up to the 2005 Tamil horror comedy Chandramukhi, he had obtained actor Rajinikanth’s wishes and blessings. P. Vasu served as the project’s director for both.
Contrary to claims and rumors, Rajinikanth won’t be in the movie. The title character will be played by Lawrence, who was last seen in Kanchana 3. The remaining members of the cast and crew have not yet been formally revealed.

Before their movie Darbar came to be, Murugadoss had also spoken openly about his intentions to work with Rajinikanth on a Chandramukhi spin-off. He had made this known while Darbar was being promoted.
According to rumors, Murugadoss had proposed a concept for a spin-off movie that featured two of Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi characters. Even the enthusiastic Rajinikanth gave his approval, but Murugadoss eventually abandoned the plan when he realized he wouldn’t be able to secure approval from Siva Productions, the team behind Chandramukhi. In addition to Chandramukhi 2 and Emergency, Kangana is currently working on the Hindi film Tejas. In the long-ago finished movie, she will play an Air Force pilot.
