While most of the people still haven’t come to terms with the untimely demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the suicide case of another talented actor comes as a tragic and shocking news.

On the 5th of August 2020, Wednesday night, Sameer Sharma, a 44-year-old television actor, was found hanging in his Malad residence, Mumbai. The police suspects that it’s a suicide.

An officer from the Malad police station said, “The actor was staying at first floor of Neha CHS building, Ahinsa Marg in Malad (west). On Wednesday a security guard found him dead and alerted the society members.”

George Fernandes, senior inspector from Malad police station said, “We have registered a case of accidental death (ADR) and sent his body to a government hospital for autopsy.” According to police, he had rented the apartment in February, in the year 2020.

Sameer Sharma was best known for his role in famous Indian sitcoms like Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki, Ye Rishta kya kehlata hai, Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi, Jyoti, iss pyaar Ko kya Naam du, left right left, etc. He was also famous for his roles in movies like Hasee toh Phasee and ittefaq.

Many people condoled the actor. Siddharth Malhotra, who worked with Sameer Sharma in the film Hasee toh phasee, took to his social media and posted, “Really sad and unfortunate. #RIPSameerSharma.”

“May #SameerSharma soul rest in peace. prayers for the closed ones to have strength to cope up with the loss. It’s unfortunate @ rate suicides n depression is increasing in our society may be we all need to give it a serious thought and not just think but take actions too,” tweeted actor Shweta Rohira.

Apparently, it’s still not confirmed whether it’s a murder or a suicide. There is no suicide note or anything that has been found yet. However, investigations are still going on.
