ITBP DG gets first covid-19 vaccine shot along with 200+ Jawans

Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) DG S Deswal alongside more than 200 staff of the line guarding power on Monday got the main shot of the COVID-19 vaccine here, an authority said.

Deswal, 59, was infused the Covishield vaccine, made by the Pune-based Serum foundation, at a camp held at the central command of the power here in the CGOs complex on Lodhi Road, the authority said.

“The ITBP chief general alongside more than 220 staff got their first shot of the Covid immunization on Monday at the power base camp here,” a representative said.

The faculty of the power are accepting these shots at different areas of their organization since the COVID-19 inoculation drive was dispatched in the country in January.

The around 90,000 workforce solid ITBP is basically conveyed to watch the 3,488-kms in length Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China separated from being entrusted to deliver an assortment of obligations in the interior security area of the country.
