Israel confirmed withdrawal from UNESCO membership of UN cultural and educational institution.

Paris: Israel has officially told the United Nations cultural and educational institution UNESCO that it will not be a member of the institution from December 31, 2018. Israel had announced for two months that it would follow the steps of leaving the UNESCO membership to the United States on proposals to criticize the Jewish nation. UNESCO chief Audrey Azoulay said that he was officially told on Friday that Israel will leave UNESCO membership on December 31, 2018.
