While the Apple iPhone 14 series is still months away from release, speculation about the iPhone 15 series has already begun. Apple evaluates 5x telephoto lens prototypes and component samples for the iPhone 15 Pro. In May 2022, a final choice on the manufacturer will be made.

The device will be housed in ‘the high-end versions of 2023,’ which might be iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max if the samples are accepted. Furthermore, according to the article, the lens manufacturer is reported to be Lante Optics, which may potentially deliver 100 million periscope lenses to Apple. According to the source, this will be the first iPhone to include a periscope lens. It is, however, nothing new in the world of Android smartphones since many flagships have a periscope lens.

We previously reported on Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s prediction that the iPhone 15 series would include a periscope camera for improved optical zoom. It also stated that the iPhone 14 will feature a 48MP primary camera capable of capturing 8K video and substantial camera enhancements. The 48MP sensor, on the other hand, could be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro variants.

Separately, iPhone SE 3 rumors have recently appeared, implying that the 2022 iPhone SE would be called iPhone SE+ 5G and will launch alongside the iPad Air. The iPhone SE 3 could be released in 2023 rather than 2024, featuring a 5.7-inch or 6.1-inch display and the A15 Bionic processor.
