Instagram users complain their accounts were mysteriously suspended

Technology

An unusual issue is being reported by several Instagram users. Users complain that their accounts have been mysteriously suspended without giving them a sufficient warning, according to messages on Twitter. Additionally, it appears that even after selecting the “Disagree with decision” option, affected customers are unable to reclaim their accounts. According to the outage monitor Downdector, some Instagram users in India and other nations are having trouble logging in, while others are having trouble with “server connections.”

In the meantime, Meta has admitted that there is a server-side issue and is investigating it. According to a tweet from the business, “Some of you may be having trouble logging into your Instagram account, as we are aware. We apologise for the inconvenience and are looking into it.”

It should be noted that not all Instagram users are impacted. One member of India Today Tech, for instance, is the only one who is having this issue; everyone else is able to use Instagram services without any issues. Facebook, WhatsApp, and Messenger, which are also owned by Meta, function normally.

Notably, WhatsApp, Meta’s instant messaging service, experienced a significant outage last week in India and other nations. The app and the web client were down due to the outage for about two hours. Later, the business explained that “configuration changes on the backbone routers” were the cause of WhatsApp’s outage.
