Indian-origin investment banker Harry Arora announced participation in the election of the US Parliament.
WASHINGTON: Indian-origin investment banker has announced his plans to contest the election on a Congressional seat for a representative meeting in Connecticut in the US. Harry Arora (48) Democratic Party’s current MP will contest against Jim Himes, who is representing the fourth Congressional District since January 2009.
Arora wants to represent Republican voice in the American House of Representatives in the informal group ‘Samosa Caucus’. At present, there are four Indian-American MPs Ami Bera, Ror Khanna, Raja Krishnamurthy and Pramila Jaipal of the Democratic Party in the US House of Representatives.
Aroras born in India are a partner in the London-based Northlander Commodity Advisors since the year 2012. In the year 2006, he started his own company.
In a statement, he said, “With my understanding of the economy and policies, I will come up with policies that will reduce the loss caused by existing policies. After success in business life, I want to work for public interest. I consider it my duty. ”
The primary election of the Republican Party for this seat is to be held on August 14. He is the sole candidate of the party in the election race so far. He is descending into electoral politics for the first time.
