
Imran raised Kashmir issue in talks with Indian High Commissioner.
In Pakistan, High Commissioner of India Ajay Bisaria met the PTI chief Imran Khan at his Islamabad residence on Friday and congratulated him for winning the general elections last month. During this period, cross-border terrorism and Kashmir issue were also discussed. Bisaria described the conversation as positive and constructive. Let me tell that Imran Khan will take oath as the Prime Minister of Pakistan on August 18.
During the interaction, while Bisaria raised the issue of cross-border terrorism and terror infiltration, Imran raised the issue of Kashmir issue and alleged human rights violations by Indian forces in the valley.
Bisaria tweeted that his discussion with Khan was positive and constructive. The Indian High Commissioner also gifted a cricket bat to Imran Khan, which was signed by all the members of Team India. Bisaria congratulated Imran on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Imran Khan also appealed to India to join the SAARC Organization of the South Asian Association for the next Summit to be held in Islamabad. Bisaria and Imran talked about all issues and Indo-Pak relations. Sources attached to the PTI said that the two sides discussed specific issues related to mutual interests.
Sources said that Imran has emphasized the resumption of the process of negotiating all pending issues, including Kashmir, between the two countries. Bisaria said, “India believes that there will be a positive change in relations with Pakistan.” He further said, “The conversation on the phone between Modi and Khan has given birth to new hopes.”
Since winning the elections, celebrities from all countries have congratulated Imran Khan on meeting him at his residence. Many heads of state and leaders have greeted them and congratulated them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also called on Imran Khan on July 30 and congratulated him on the victory in the elections. The Prime Minister had said that India is in favor of constructive ties with Pakistan and the two countries should formulate a joint strategy to improve relations. Imran also advocated better bilateral ties in the talks with PM Modi. Khan said that there are disasters from war and not a solution to the conflicts.
