How to make life interesting, when in lockdown.

Lifestyle

The one thing I learned about this lockdown is that it brings out the best in you. It’s really great to see that people are being productive. Investing your time in something that is really worth is or something that makes you happy is not a waste of time. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! If it makes you happy, just do it. So, back to the topic, you probably have something to do in mind right now, drawing, singing, dancing, maybe? But if you’re still clueless, then this article is for you.

* Decorate your room
Who doesn’t like a pretty, aesthetic room? It’s hard to add excitement to your life if your life is overflowing with mindless tasks and chores. So, get up, clean your room, Chang your bedsheets, decorate your room with lights, pictures, etc.

* Shake up your morning routine
Same routine every day, it is as boring as it sounds. Instead of following the same wake-up routine every day, do it differently on occasion. Get up ten minutes early and have breakfast outside. Or try a quick workout routine or maybe Zumba or Yoga. Just starting your day differently will give you a little thrill.

* Move your furniture
The best place to ‘move’ furniture is the living room. You can change the setting of your living room. Rearrange the sofa, the cushions, clean the dining table, and the showpieces. Switch things up enough that it feels new and different.

* Do a sport
I know it’s difficult to play an outdoor sport during lockdown but if you can, then do it. Just practice skipping or running or something. Watch a competitive, fast-paced sporting event like tennis, basketball, or racing where the energy and excitement of the sport are contagious.

* Get a makeover
All you beautiful humans out there, you need to be a little selfish and pamper yourself. Get a new haircut at home for a change. Try making face masks at home. Do your makeup yourself, or ask someone to do it for you, it could also be like a fun activity with your parents or siblings or partner perhaps. Explore your wardrobe, try mismatching, and creating new outfits. To be honest, it’s even more fun when you do it with a friend or sibling.

* Mental health check-in
This is a MUST. Mental health is extremely important. You need to look after yourself. So say this to yourself ‘I’m doing great’, ‘I got this’. Be an optimist. Try meditation or Yoga. Listen to soft, peaceful music for a change.

If there is something else in your mind that you’ve always wanted to do, now is the time, DO IT. Everyone deserves self-care and happiness. So, take care, stay safe, and be creative!
