Honor Pad 8 with Snapdragon 680 SoC Launched

On Friday, the company launched the Honor Pad 8 in Malaysia. The latest tablet from the company features a 12-inch 2K display with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free certifications. The tablet also has an eBook mode and a Dark mode for less strain on the eyes. It has eight speakers that have been enhanced with DTS:X Ultra and Honor Histen technologies. The Honor Pad 8 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. According to the company, its 7,250mAh battery can provide up to 14 hours of listening time.

Price and availability

The Honor Pad 8 costs MYR 1,399 (approximately Rs. 25,000) for the single variant with 128GB of internal storage. This Honor tablet will be available in Malaysia beginning August 26.

Specifications and features

This tablet has a 12-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2K (1,200×2,000 pixels) and an 87% screen-to-body ratio. It has a flicker-free screen and is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light emissions. The Honor Pad 8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor.

It comes with a 7,250mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. It has eight speakers, including four treble and four bass units. Honor Histen and DTS:X Ultra technologies power the stereo speaker setup. A microphone is also included. On the front and back of the tablet, there are single 5-megapixel cameras.

The tablet is powered by the Android-based Magic UI 6.1. It includes a Smart Multi-Window feature that allows users to display four windows on a single screen. There is also a Multi-Screen Collaboration feature that allows users to interact with their smartphones through the tablet screen.

It has dual-band Wi-Fi at 2.4GHz and 5GHz, as well as Bluetooth v5.1 support. According to the company, the Honor Pad 8 has a unibody design that measures 278.54×174.06×6.9mm and weighs around 520g.
