After resolving the Ayodhya issue and reconstruction of Kashi, people have more faith in Sanatan Dharma. This is the reason that in the last 98 years, record-breaking Hindu religious books have been sold in the previous five months. Most people have bought Ramcharit Manas and Bhagwat Geeta related to Lord Shri Ram. And even now, its demand is increasing continuously in Gita Press of Gorakhpur.
Earlier when the name Ayodhya used to come on the tongue, first of all, the pictures of quarrels came into the people’s minds. But in recent times, the atmosphere has changed. After the issue of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is resolved and the pictures of Kashi’s Kaya Kalp come to the fore. Due to this changing situation, people’s faith in Sanatan Dharma is also increasing. People want to know more about Hinduism. Perhaps this is why the sale of books related to Hinduism has increased for some time. With the darshan of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya and Lord Shankar in Kashi, the sale of religious books has also increased. In the last 98 years, more religious texts have been sold in the previous five months than the number of holy books not sold every year. In this, Shri Ramcharitmanas and Bhagwat Geeta have sold the most.
According to Devi Dayal Aggarwal, trustee of Gita Press, Gita Press was established in Gorakhpur in 1923 through a trust. Since then, only religious books have been published here in many languages. But never so many holy books have been sold every year as in the last five months.
Number of sale of Hindu religious books
4 crores 93 lakh books in June.
6 crores 64 lakh books in July.
Books worth 6 crores 31 lakhs in August.
7 crores 60 lakh books in September.
8 crore 68 lakh books in October.
More than 7 crores 15 lakh books were sold in November.
The trustees of Gita Press also believe that religious disputes were going on earlier. After that, now the great construction work is going on. In such a situation, people want to know what the story behind it is? People’s faith in the government and their Sanatan Dharma is also increasing, which is why the demand for religious books has increased.
