Srinagar, In view of the terrorist attacks on the Amarnath Yatra this year, the Center has left a group of National Security Guards (NSG) for security Kashmir. This special trained squad, known as ‘Black Cat’ commando, is being used to be used during the anti-terrorist operations in Kashmir. Officials say that a team of NSG has been deployed for some time in the Kashmir Valley and their rigorous training is being done on the outside of the city.
Let us tell you that the governor’s rule was announced in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. After the withdrawal of support by BJP, Mehbooba Mufti had to resign from the post of Chief Minister. Officials said that recently the Home Ministry had given permission for the deployment of NSG in Kashmir. They said that they will be used after the completion of the training program. According to him, the NSG will be placed here under the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The Jammu and Kashmir Police is the only nodal agency for all anti-terrorist operations.
Experts of anti-terrorist operations believe that the NSG can prove to be very helpful in the situation of a room-to-room encounter. Experts say that such situations happen only occasionally during the encounter, but for the security forces, this situation is always done or die. The decision of the deployment of NSG in Kashmir was taken in view of similar circumstances. Since the past, the number of such encounters was found to be seen where the soldiers had to lose their lives while campaigning in the populated houses.
Experts say that in this way, the deployment of NSG commandos will get more strength for anti-terrorist operations. NSG commandos use all 5 machine guns, sniper rifles, wall cross-radar and C-4 explosives. Let us tell you that the NSG was formed after Operation Blue Star, which was launched to eliminate the terrorists hidden in the Amritsar Golden Temple in 1984. 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, attack on Pathankot air base and Akshardham terror attack was deployed to NSG commandos only.
